Wellington Rotary - Four Avenues of Service

Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the effective functioning of the club. This is done through our Membership and Fundraising committees.

Our Membership committee is chaired by Deby Dahlgren. It's members include Joe Rensaw, Debbie Sanacore, Bill Shukis and John Mercer. Our goals this year are to increase our membership by a 10% net growth and to get all members active in the club. We think it is important to find new ways to get the word out about Rotary especially to the newer Wellington communities. We are hoping a new Wellington Rotary brochure, local banners among other things will be great tools added this year. And of course we think our buddy system is a great tool for existing members. Have you called your buddy?
Fundraising is co-charied by our ever capable members Barry Manning and Michela Perillo-Green. This is a committee we expect EVERYONE to be a member of in order to help our many local charities and international projects. Our chairs have set ambitious goals and in order to meet those goals we need your help so please, please, please volunteer now!!

Our events this year will be fun (as always) and some will be new and exciting. We are partnering with The Wellington Chamber for our first event of the year. It's the Golf Cart Polo exhibition on November 12th - sure to be fun and different. Do we need to practice saying FORE!??!! In January there will be a Chocolate and Wine evening - YUM!! April we'll be hosting a progressive dinner and May will bring back the ever popular wine pairing. Sounds like we should schedule some exercise and fitness events too!

The extravaganza of the year will be The Stars Ball so Save the Date now - March 11th. We are very happy to be joining with Little Smiles to make their dream come true with this joint fundraising effort. Red Carpet treatment will be given to their little stars. Stayed tuned for more details and be prepared to help make this the best event yet!!!
