Interact Picnic!
When: Saturday May 18th at 11am
Where: Okeeheelee Park at the Tuskeegee Pavillion
Please help the Rotary beat our High School Interactors in a variety of field events, I mean meet the wonderful students of our two Interact Clubs! In case you were not in attendance, the Interactors beat us badly last year and quite frankly embarrassed the Tug-of-War team led by Don Gross and Tom Neumann. We could use your support. We will be giving out the Student of the Quarter award for the 4th quarter at the picnic as well.
Carrabba's will be donating the food for this year’s event so lunch will be great!
As always the adult beverage portion of the event starts around 3:30 or 4:00 if you prefer to come a bit later.
Wellington Peace Park
The Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of peace, with its purpose to promote multicultural understanding and world peace. The Wellington Rotary Peace Pole is an 8 sided, hand-crafted, wooden pole, eight feet tall. Each of its sides displays "May Peace Prevail on Earth", in Spanish, English, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Hebrew, Russian or Japanese. It was carved from western red cedar, a wood that is a renewable resource and environmentally sound. There are more than 200,000 Peace Poles, each dedicated as a monument to peace, in 180 countries all over the world .
Our Projects
Did you know that...The Annual Programs Fund is the primary source of unrestricted support for the programs of the Rotary Foundation.
It funds programs in more than 160 countries on 7 continents. From digging clean water wells for villages in Africa to teaching basic literacy skills to children in Latin America, during any given moment in a day, thousands of Rotarians volunteer their time and expertise to ensure that all contributions given to The Annual Programs Fund are spent wisely on quality Rotary projects
Become a Member
Rotary International is an association of individual clubs, with each club operating autonomously.
Membership is extremely important to us, and we are always eager to hear from individuals interested in our mission and in joining a Rotary club. The RI universal premise is that the membership of each club constitutes an accurate representation of the business and professional population within the community served.
Membership in a Rotary club requires available business or professional classification opportunities as well as an invitation and sponsorship by a member of the club. Sometimes an individual cannot be invited or sponsored for membership.
